Armed Forces Day 2014
On Saturday 28 June 2014, thousands of people attended at Stirling to acknowledge the contribution of servicemen and women past and present. The annual Armed Forces Day, originally known as `Veterans` Day`, was held in Scotland for only the second time, coincidentally on the same weekend that the city marked the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn.
As well as military vehicles, music, parades, parachutists, and a display by the historic Battle of Britain Flight and world-famous Red Arrows, there were two Joint Services displays involving helicopters and troops on the ground. I took quite a few photos at the event which will be covered on a dedicated page (Link to follow).*
