I have a large collection of War Memorial images, both in the UK and abroad and this section is due to be revamped with memorials listed in their respective regional locations etc* This page covers War Memorials in the City of Aberdeen itself while another section covers memorials in the county surrounding county / counties of (LINK*).
Intro etc *
There are several war memorials within the Aberdeen Maritime Museum including the one above which commemorates the men of the North of Scotland & Orkney & Shetland Steam Navigation Company Ltd who were lost during the Great War.
Another is dedicated to the 40 Hall Russell workers killed in the same conflict. The plaque was unveiled on 20 June 1922 and was originally displayed in the shipyard.
